Notes on sSpec QJEE | |
This processor is a Core 2 Extreme QX9750.
Weird chip. Some forum posts online seem to imply this was a limited production run, and was a cancelled product. Some have claimed that these were given away internally to Intel employees. They appear to be pretty rare.
According to the CPUID data I submitted, it seems to use a later stepping than all of the other QX series processors, and has some additional instructions available. http://www.cpu-world.com/cgi-bin/CPUID.pl?CPUID=65067
Very unique chip overall.
Actually, this seems to use the same stepping as the mobile QX9300, along with the same CPUID signature, and shares the same additional instructions. Perhaps these were either mobile chips that ran too hot, or highly binned mobile extremes? I'll have to see if it uses less power than the QX9650
This chip uses the E0 stepping.
QX9750 (would have been SLBBU) is basically a Socket 775 variant with added free multiplier of Harpertown Revision E0 Xeon X5460 (SLBBA) that came out on Socket 771.
