so i've been testing my cpus.. so far ive tested around 57 intel chips, and i think 2 of them are dead.. one is dead because my cat knocked it off my scanner a while back and chipped a huge chunk out of the corner..
ive tested about 9 socket a chips so far, and only one has worked, althouth to be fair, most of them have crushed/cracked/chipped cores, where the intel cores are safely inside their little ceramic packages...
anyhoo, i just tested a thoroughbred 2200+, and it didnt post..
more than not posting, the pc speaker went BZZZT and then i heard a popping sound from the cpu, and that lovely burning smell
the core exploded.. out of one side.. its odd though, because the core was totally cold just after this happened.. so i guess it was an electrical problem of some sort. heh
