...... wow That much?!
I sell CPU's and with the profit of that i buy CPU's for my collection. Sometimes i can spend a little more when i get a bonus or something like that. But not near as much as you guys.
But i think it does not matter how much you spend, it is the fun you have!
And i have fun collecting CPU's just like the rest of you, only at a smaller budget.

It matters to my wife but I agree that this should be fun.

can't wait till I become a surgeon, by then I'll be spending a minimum $10,000 a month on cpu's, and get revenge to those who always out bid me during my childhood collecting. |

Become a lawyer. You will have the same $10,000 to spend every month on chips, and you can sue everybody who outbids you on eBay

haha! you read my mind, as of 1 year ago
We did this thing in school, called "Career Day", where about 50 people come in ( laywers, doctors, dentists, Seargants ) and talk to kids in groups of like 15 at a time for half an hour each, and we did 3 sessions in total. I choose to go to the Doctor first, then to the lawyer, and lastly military.
I was so hyped up about becoming a lawyer, but when I saw the lawyer I flipped out. I asked the guy how much he makes, he said $40,000 a year, and he went to college for only 3 years. I thought, OH, if you go like 3 more years, you'll make 3 times the money. THEN he started whining about how much hard work it is, and how he could have gone for a longer time to make more money but has friends ( Who are also lawyers, mind you ) that make over $120,000 but work 24/7 and basically live at the firm they work in.
I did research and found out surgeons make in the millions
I had some thought about it; instead of looking for a good paying job in 5 years + ( sometimes it's not even a good paying job), I say spend 5 years + in medical school, then you can fill out your own ticket to the future
Guess I'll just stick with being a corporate Lawyer or or a god. Err..... I meant surgeon |

While we are talking about money, I wonder how much I could get if I wanted to sell my whole collection (http://www.alphatek.info/collection/ around 400 x86 chips).
PS: for 15000$ it's yours |

Hmmm I never think about it I spend about 50$ on Polish auctions. I seldom buy chips from other country. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
