You also forgot about our new internet filter the government is introducing, blocking sites that are on a government blacklist....but they won't tell you what sites are on it!!! Scary stuff...watch out, big brother is everywhere and you WILL be programmed to do as they say!
Slightly off-topic, "off-topic", I'm reading a book called "Wired for War" (nonfiction) which is about robotics in the military in the 21st century. It talks about something called TIA (total information awareness), a program that DARPA was running (and probably still is, albeit secretly) until it was shut down. It aimed to obtain every piece of information about every citizen in a huge database. The interesting part of this is I watched a fictional UK show just recently where the government had a "TIA" system, exactly the same as the US DARPA one and it was even called TIA. It was frightening to watch the fictional version, let alone to find out a real one was in place.
If you get a chance, have a read of this book...great but scary stuff. _________________ My former Intel collection:

The keyword is "control". It goes (and grow) with technology.
- We (regular citizens) are happy if we have more control over our PCs, TVs, cars, and other toasters...
- Governments are "happy" if they have more control over US (our bills, taxes, bank accounts, our life's)
We already have people who want (and will pay for that) to get out from all of this, and to stay out of the "control". _________________ www.chipmuseum.com |

TIA is VERY much alive and well
along with carnivore and Echelon
All in the name of 'safety''
Those who are willing to trade liberty for safety deserve NEITHER!! _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
