Hi,
could you please explain the following part: "the data matrix code on the CPU doesn't match processor's serial number" What does that mean? Can you provide an example?
Btw: I recently bought one of those for my collection. What intrigued me was the questionable background. I can tell you this about my sample: The board is brown (as with earlier Athlon 64 versions), the heatspreader is not centered perfectly (somewhat more to one side). The laser printing on the lid is barely legible (might indicate something, or not) but the layout, font etc do fit AMD standard. Hm, now is this a fake (as was the case with many Athlon XPs and Semprons? Or is this an inofficial mod made by AMD themselves?
I thought about removing the heatspreader to see whether there was a model description on the black label under the lid, but I probably won't do that.

Ah, I see...
Fake, cool! I always wanted to have one for my collection. Although a clearly (typically Eastern European or Asian) faked (remarked) Eastern European or Asian Athlon or Sempron would still be a nice addition to my collection.
But unfortunately, fakes of copyrightes products are not allowed to be sold on eBay... |
