ddr or sd?

current setup
athlon xp 2400 @ 1500mhz (mobo ristriction)
1.25gb sd ram @ 133mhz
gigabyte ga7xz-1
nvidia geforce 7600gt

ok now i might be getting an asus a7a266 motherboard for free
ive read on forums it is possible to get my athlon to 2ghz depending on the revision of the board.

let say hypothetically the processor works. my setup will still be the same except faster and a different mobo. note that im broke aswell.

i have 2 256mb sticks of ddr.
would it be better if i went 512mb of ddr @266 or 1.25gn of sd ram @133mhz?

1.25GB of ram, even though slower, is going to be much faster then 512mb of DDR in pretty much any modern operating system (Wndows, Ubuntu, etc)

i agree with cpushack, but should you get any other ddr stick or will be able to get above 512 mb ddr ram, get ddr, also depends what kind of hdd you are using PATA(66/100/133)/SATA(150/300)
