I may have exagerated my bid a bit. The one ($1) is correct! Just not all the 000,000 Laughing

I would hate to see one of you try to run the bid up on me just to find out that you bid way too much for the chip. Wait a minute... If you are running the bid up then I hope you go bankrupt Wink Very Happy

Hi guys!

I cannot tell a lie, it was me who was the mystery buyer. I offered to purchase it along with a retail K62-300 I bought off of him. The vendor turned out to be dishonest however:

Hi Ian,

I've got some bad news regarding the K6 600. During the packing process (in
his own words), my coworker had dropped the CPU from about 4-5ft high,
apparently an item on top shelf had distracted him and as he reached for it,
the CPU fell. Looking at it now, it's physically in not so great shape.

The piece that connects to the slot on the motherboard has broken in two
(around 2 and 5 inches respectively), and the 2 inch piece fell off
somewhere in the warehouse and is nowhere immediately able to be found.

Anyways, you are in no way involved with this misfortune. I will return
your $9+$2 for the K6 ES fees, as you were no way involved in this
misfortune.

As for the K6, I will continue shipping out the item tomorrow, unless you
have any other specifications you would like.

Thank you, and sorry for what happened to the CPU!!

I had the strangest feeling he was lying when I was reading the email. Buy at your own risk boys and girls!

Hi guys,

it is ironic that I bookmarked this website, I use it as reference to list my cpu auctions. yet something of my own auctions comes here Razz

Vlad just pointed me to come out here, and I sent him a reply as followed, for his message he posted above.

Quote:

Hello -------,

I do not understand why you are denying my original response to you regarding the K7 600 'ES'. If you are questioning the integrity of my reply, I will tell you in detail below. Whether you believe it is up to you.

Both K7's 600's DO NOT belong to me. I am selling them BOTH for a friend, he partially owns SYS (www.sys.com), a very large computer company that has been around since the 80's. He doesn't care of how much stuff is sold, just as long as they cover his $70 parking ticket.

They have a lot of K7 CPU's in the back warehouse, tons which are collecting dust. We strike up a conversation one day and its decided that I sell some of the junk for him on ebay.

I already sold a few for him recently this week, you can see if you search my completed items. I used the same pictures for the items in my auctions. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewListedItems&since=30&userid=gaiden-sensei&include=0&rows=200&sort=3&completed=1 .
The pictures I used for them are relatively the same, because they all had the same numbers. I still have a batch of K6 cpu's to list up along with Cyrix's as well.

The one I LISTED FIRST is the one that had suffered mishandling damage. For some reason that you want to prove my honesty, if you want pictures to prove this then I will go take pictures of the CPU, but DO KEEP in mind that they are not in my immediate possession, all the computer parts are still in SYS warehouse. I can't believe that I'm even willing to do this, because I normally I should not even care about something that isn't even mine, but when questioning my honesty, that's something on another line.

Everything in my auctions, you're getting the thing that I describe. I will have to ask him on Tuesday to give it to me so I can take pictures.

In regard to the K7 600, here is how I will explain to you what happened on my side, in a simple timeline.

-First batch of stuff he wants me to sell for him
-You ask me about buying the K6 and K7 ES. I had a lot of other bidders asking me questions to end the item to sell to them as well, but since you asked first I decided to do that.
-Day you negotiated and we finished trade, he drops the CPU, and it breaks into two pieces.
-He calls and tells me of this.
-I email all other interested people who wanted it to tell them that it's not available.
-A few days later, I have a second batch to sell for him.
-He describes another "ENGINEERING SAMPLE" that he finds in another box, says it looks completely the same as the one I listed before. I immediately list the same pictures in order to save time.
-Email from other bidders again who want to buy the item, But I reply to ALL of them that I'm not going through the trouble of selling it to them privately. I'm just going to wait for the auction to end.

I hope that explains or may change what you think.

-----

So I sent him that as a response. I told everyone I could think of who emailed me about the K6 that it wasn't going to be ended privately again - I had up to 10 different people emailing me regarding the ES, it was troublesome to get things set between them all. So this time I am just going to sell it on my own.

I DO NOT have any dishonest intentions.
I have (although small) heatware at : http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=37003 , I buy and sell things all the time from anandtech and cpuworld.

Any further questions, feel free to email me back on ebay.

By the way Vlad, can you please edit out my real name in your message? Not to be rude, but I do not like my information publicly displayed against my own will, unless I permit someone else to do it.

Thanks
