Bought this one on ebay, seller said it`s an early A0-chip. There are no Laser markings on heatspreader. I´m not sure if Intel marks early chips with just prints!?
Any infos? |

In my world a engineering sample or chips in development could be marked almost any way. The earlier it is, the stranger the marking. The ES chips we normally see with nice laser markings and datecodes i believe are pretty late stuff for being a ES. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

That marking looks pretty poor by Intel standards. We have seen most examples I think of the types of preproduction marking used on Intel chips.
Another reason why I dont think that marking we see above would be used, is that it could get damaged with HSF fitting and removal. .. and as you can see the marking already appears to be coming off.
.. but as already said, anything is possible. |
