In Australia, ebay has to supply the Tax Department with the transaction details of all "Power Sellers" _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

I still remember when it started as a second hand stuff sale site...
Time has passed since then. |

| I can pay you with an international Money Order for AVICC purchases. This also eliminates the PayPal fees. |

Tis not a problem really, just more paperwork I get to file (the online system makes it somewhat easier)
I was surprised how much money I process though LOL, and I think I am giving the bank of ukraine a run for their money hehe _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

| I can't imagine the amount of paperwork this will create. If e-bay and paypal report all transactions for all customers to the fed. It would be like if the fed required your bank to report every transaction you made as well and you had to justify each one on your taxes. Come to think of it. It requires a court order to subpoena your bank records I wonder what unconstitutional trick they are pulling to effectively subpoena these financial records. What a royal pain in the ass. |

Big brother is getting closer. Laws here now allow police to search your house when you are not there without you knowing it (and they don't tell you afterwards either) if they "suspect" criminal activity. Combine that with our new internet filtering and not being able to march or demonstrate without police authority, and our society is becoming very scary indeed.
But then you get those non-thinking twats who come out with the old chestnut "if you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear"....yeah right. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now... _________________ My former Intel collection:

When was the last time "they" followed the constitution
And, PayPal doesn't fall under the conventional rules, they're not a bank... the door is wide open. _________________ The two most common elements on Earth are oxygen and stupidity. |

How about another one (neon_wa would know), where police in Western Australia are about to be given power to do random body searches - again, no reason needs to be given
All sounding like a police state? You betcha... _________________ My former Intel collection:

I think if we want to preserve our rights here in the US, this group is one you might want to check out---non-partisan.

Dont stop at the house, Senate needs to go to
TERM LIMITS!!
And congress must maintain their own computers, have medicare (if eligible) and be paid the average wage in america (whatever that may be)
They must also buy their own car and gas (assuming thats workable with the Secret Service) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
