Nice Mix of Items up for Auction, 486 CPU's, i860, C8080, Misc Intel Chips, Nice white ceramic unknown chips, Soviet Eproms...
And yes, it's all listed as Vintage and Rare. At least it's not Hyperrare or Super Megarare. Need to wait at least 5 more years for that.

Please take a look, thank you.

And for those who like to fish I'm listing a bunch of fishing lures tomorrow Smile

Damn...nice auction!
Twinrocket is from Norway and he recently bid on my C8085A auction, but he got beat by a member here. Surprised
He's definitely a contender in the chip bidding "wars" that are happening so often on Ebay.
We have some quiet members from Norway and maybe he's one of them.

I see he also collects transistors and paid US$352 for a single 1952 GE transistor. Pity the image wasn't on the listing anymore, as I would like to see it

Amazing! Chip and vintage electronics prices are getting out of control lately.
What is it? ...it seems like buyers are coming from nowhere as if they were desperate for some vintage technology.

Those of us that got in this hobby about two years ago, just got in under the wire, since bargains are now a rarity, except for those that hang out with a local scrapper or who know where the forgotten chips are hidden in the local university engineering lab drawer. Wink

Those of us that own some rare INTELS or other scarce items are lucky, but the poor newbies are the ones that are going to have a tough time affording anything but the basic CPU's.

Good for us, bad for them. Rolling Eyes

Not only that, he also plopped down another $1,070 to buy 4 more of the same. They were 1689 early WE types. I could perhaps see paying a few 100 $$$s once, but 5 in a row?

How did you determine the winner of the auction?
