the Intel logo is just like that of chook's i486dx4-100

Seems an odd chip to fake, what would there be to gain from it? Perhaps faked for collectors?

not for collectors.
probably remarked from commercial grade to industrial grade
or from room temperature range to wide temperature range
or from low frequency to high frequency.
