What is the part number on the Analog Devices chip Surprised

being interesting to see if standard coppermine slot on the other side Smile

AD595AQ 9904
the PCB is possible 9917
the youngest IC on this board is possible 9910 ( both the 87c51 and the max111BCWE)

with a 1980 copyright on the 87C51... i would assume 8910 not 9910 Confused

the AD595AQ is a Type K thermocouple amplifier (-55 → +125°C)
so looks like it was made to test the thermal design of intel computer cases or different HS & fan arrangements

the group of jumpers on the card possibly can be changed to simulate the thermal properties of different speed coppermines

the 87C51 would be used to process the data coming from the thermocouple via the amplifier chip, so the card can act as a self contained DAQ card. Unlikely it has a OS embedded on the card, but they probably had a boot disk for that.
Data then was probably either saved to the book disk (as the data file would be small) or sent via a serial cable to another computer.

Yes, I thought some type of data logger for thermal testing...

Just google " SC242 VTT" and find this datasheet:

I dont think a terminator need a HS and fan attached.
and it need not to be such complicated circuit design.

This should be engineering probing tools for copermine cpu.

the "SC242 VTT rev4" might only means it's interface comply with that 242 pins slot connector's specifications or protocol.

Really cool !

SC242 = Slot1

Vtt (1.5V) is termination voltage...

But may be VTT is abbrev. of .....Testing or Verify....

definitely not a terminator
