It's a terrible tragedy, but don't blame the pilot!
I've read a very interesting article. Apparently Kaczynski was in similar situation a couple of years ago. After the conflict in Georgia Kaczynski visited this country. Because of bad weather situation pilot refused follow Kaczynski's orders and landed on another airport.
Because of this decision the military pilot was sued for insubordination! You can certainly imagine possible consequences of disobedience for military personnel.
And this time pilots decided to obey the orders of the President at any cost. |

The truth is that the pilot was one of the best.
We should wait for the results of the investigation before we judge anything. |

I didn't know about this I just read the 4th trying was the fatal. I read mainly Hungarian articles because my English isn't too good. There said the airport of Smolensk was closed because of the fog but the pilot doesn't want to land in Moscow or Minsk and he decided he will land in Smolensk. Ria Novosti wrote that was mistake of the pilot.
What you said throw new light upon this. You're right if this was President's order not the decision of the pilot.
Anyway, it's a very sorrow thing. |

Thanks guys for good words. I cann't believe there was so many important persons in one airplane. Except president and his wife there was complete generalship of our army. Most important generals has died.
Please read about Katyn - like igunana said - it is cursed place for Poles ! _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
