| Hi, i was wondering if a amd 64bit 3200+ will perform at the same speed as a amd athlon xp 3200+ if i do not have the 64 bit windows, or any apps. the can use the 64bit technology? |

no you cant use 64 bit tech but performance AMD 64 3200+ is higher. 64 have faster access to memory. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

| but would it be a large increase, because i can get a athlon xp 3200+ for about $200.00 but to go with the 64bit cpu it would cost me about the same + the cost of a new mobo. so my question is if it is worth it to pay the x-tra for the 64bit or not? |

| I heard that the Athlon 64 bit 3200+ wasn't that great, it's definately not something I'd spend extra on. The difference in performance is so minimal, you actually have to look for the change. I think if you have to look for the differences, it's not worth spending the extra money. |
