hmm, anyway it looks strange. but before i damage a chip i prefer to have a look at it under my microscope, or begin to scratch in a corner.

Ah, it's no problem, just another pentium mmx, lol
There is a quite big chance to find one of these again.
If you just type in FV8050366200, then you will find all sorts of chip brokers for it, not that they have it, but it does exist.
The original picture of the chip was big as hell, so i'll cut out the parts where you see bubbles. |

I'm curious what is that orange colour on prints - overheated or maybe corroded under-layer or maybe just dirty place by i.e. glue/part of sticker ? _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

The sticker was orange, and maybe someone tried to remove it before me.
I think that's the case

#1: As you can see a lot of PC CHIPS chipset plcc's, does these have any collection value?

I have wondered the same question as Leev.
I have saved some older chipsets like these and are they collectible?
Anyone else saving or trading these? _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

FV8050366200 is the Part Number printing on the big BOX containing FV80503200.

I got some new chips worth posting here:
Really nice NOS Rockwell QUIPP(i think this is the correct name for the package?) chips. Anyone know what they are? I know they were custom marked ollivetti parts that were used in calculators.
Quite nice AMI white ceramic chips, also custom marked ollivetti parts.
Intel P2102-2, don't need any explanation i think
Anyone that does know what the Rockwell or AMI chip are? Please tell me
BTW: as i have multiple parts of these, i will trade or sell some chips, so if you are interested in one, please pm me |

Yeah i know you like them.
I know we have more TRW chips on boards in the museum, these are used mostly in Time Base Correctors.
I will take some pictures of them, as these are 24/28 pin ceramic chips (not sure about exact package size).
But it seems TRW made a lot of video processing chips |

I have gotten some new chips from the museum, including the TRW's i was talking about. Also got some Ferranti chips from the same machine i got the big TRW's from. Also got a Microsparc II from a SOLAIR system, it runs at 85 MHz, unfortunately there is some sticky stuff on the top of the heatsink of it, any way of taking that off ? Also took some pictures from some boards with my brothers mobile phone (HTC Desire ), so the pictures are a bit blurry.
Here are the pictures:
If you want to know where some chips came out, like the custom marked TCP motorola, just ask here Oh yeah, if anyone know what function the Ferranti chips have, please tell me, i cant find any info on them.[/img] |
