Hi,
I would like to replace a P4 FC-PGA2 processor with a P4 FC-PGA4 ... I'm getting rid of one of my old Dell computers and trying to combine some parts into one. Are these 2 packaging types compatible? Also, would the other differences pose a problem?
478-pin micro FC-PGA2 (with integrated heatspreader)
Processor core : Northwood
Manufacturing process : 0.13 micron
55 million transistors
no Hyper-Threading
V core (V) : 1.475 - 1.55
Minimum/Maximum operating temperature (°C) : 5 - 74
Minimum/Maximum power dissipation (W) : 37.55 (Stop Grant mode) / 93.2 (1.55V)
Thermal Design Power (W) : 70
478-pin micro FC-PGA4 (with integrated heatspreader)
Processor core : Prescott
Manufacturing process : 0.09 micron
125 million transistors
Hyper-Threading
V core (V) : 1.25 - 1.4
Minimum/Maximum operating temperature (°C) : 5 - 75
Minimum/Maximum power dissipation (W) : 53.68 (Stop Grant mode) / 102.72
Thermal Design Power (W) : 88 |
