It is unusual in that it has 35 pins in a low-profile format (such as the 3-chip 30-pins)...
It only uses one for 1Mb but Id like to find one if possible.
ANY help/sources would be appreciated!

I have many old 30-pin memory sticks, but I'd have to check to see if I have your special specs.
By chance, do you have a pic of it?
BTW, I posted about my Tandy 1500 on your blog recently! _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

I also have a large box of memory that I have laying around that has all sorts of old memory in it, if I saw a sample I would be more than happy to dig thru it and see if I have anything you could use. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." Unfortunately I do NOT have a pic as I dont have one... I only know that it has 35 pins as opposed to the standard 30 (because I counted them when the 30-pin simms I bought didnt fit! ),
and
It is a 'low-profile' type like the 30-pin 3-chip pieces that have the chips lying end-2-end rather then 8 or 9 that are side-by-side.
I could get you a pic of the 30-pin low-profile type... if that would help! |

Darn- I have 2 dozen 30 pin 1 MB memory sticks, but no 34 or 35 pin ones
These must be special or proprietary memory's. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

I have the original "Owners Guide" for the 1500 and regarding memory adding, it says: "...Use only the specified EMS RAM card (cat. no. 25-3507) with your computer."
"Install the temm1500.sys file device driver. Use the MS-DOS Edlin command or some other text editor to place the following line in the config.sys file. <device=c:\dos\temm1500.sys>"
NO schematics included. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

I am attempting to 'build my own'.
The schematics I was able to get for the 2810hd show the same 35-pin arrangement (I am certain... kinda) as the 1500, BUT HAS the pinouts too!
I have already designed a board based on the 424260 DRAM ic, and if I havent made it too 'big/small/wrong/etc' I MIGHT have a prototype ready someday soon!
Will keep in touch! |

Why? ... mainly because the board is too small to handle the pins!
Looking to work with the 4c4001s that are on the 30-pin board, but Im not sure I can work with the 9th address line without using only 1/2 of the chip(s)... putting 4 chips on the boards (which worked, btw).
Would like to go with the 3-chip setup... 2 memories and 1 quad XNOR...
Like I was gonna do originally. |
