How to know which decade?

I have a white print 386 cpu with a date code of L015. Did Intel make white print cpus in 1990? Or is the date week 15, 2000? I have the same problem with a white print 186 L531. Is it 1985 or 1995? Copyright dates on both are before the datecode for either decade.

386 was made in 2000
186 in 1995
