Hi guys im really stuck here and need some advice, basically when readin my cpu temps they seem to be stuck at 40oc for core 0 and 36oc for core 1 both at idle and 100% load. i ran prime95 and there was only a 1oc difference is there something wrong with my board or processor. I have taken readings with sppedfan, realtemp and hw monitor and all give the same reading. any help would me much appreciated. cheers

Try putting one of your 10 fingers on the heatsink to see if it's very hot...
If so, than you have a problem.
Check for a bios update, maybe there is some issue solved. |

I know from personal experience, emails to Intel, and browsing the Internet that Intel has problems with the temp sensors in the e5xxx & e8xxx series processors. There is no reason for me to believe they don't have this problem in all their CPUs. What I saw were temps not dropping below a certain point in one core or the other, but above that temp it worked fine. _________________ "Have you scanned the RAM timings for Operator's Headspace??
