Over the years I have saved older memory that I used to see
in the PC systems I did tech work on years ago. I thought
someone else might enjoy seeing some of the older 30 pin
and 72 pin memory again. Cool

I think I still have a box full of these strips... worthless a few years ago... but they are getting more scarse by the day.

Where the 42-pin memory was used? Two bytes with parity SIMM.

I wish I remembered what system they came out of. There were
four of them. The part number shows 000576-001 from Compaq
and I remember now that they came from the CPQ portable 386. The
one with the orange plasma screen. Man, I had forgotten about
that one!!! Laughing

My favorite was old SIPP memory. Stupid pin approach quickly gave way to the more robust exposed contacts on the edge of the pcb, i.e. at that time SIMM.

Old memory is kinda cool, for me especially those old 1Meg 30pins.. I remember paying lots of money for a few pieces early 1990's.

What about those stupid SIMM stackers.. you could load like 4 or 8 pieces into a single mobo simm slot.

SIPP was ok, but more interesting now for collectors I think.

A friend and I need some to refurbish some old TANDY laptops.
Thanks.
