I'm looking to turn off hyperthreading on my i7 860. However, (Call me stupid) I can't figure out how to do it. I've checked every logical option in the BIOS, and there doesn't appear to be a setting in the Gigabyte supplied setup utilities. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Cheers!

There may be benefits in single applications?
Like using the extra juice dedicaed to the logical cores (HT threads)?

Don't know but that is my only thought on it.

Perhaps, because some programs run faster without it than with HT enabled.
