I need your help. Confused

Like several members here, I love to take stuff apart and I got this working Fluke 1953A Counter-Timer on Ebay a few months ago and I have a dilemma--
I would like to take the board with the P4040 CPU out to display, but this machine is so well made I hate to destroy it.
I don't have any need to use this piece of test equipment (unless it transforms common chips into rare ones). Wink
So tell me if it's an extremely useful machine for me or if I should just take it apart for my own purposes...to get the chips, of course. Smile

PLEASE VOTE-
YES, I should take it apart
or
NO, it's too useful to take apart.

I'll decide based on the votes posted by Friday night.
Thanks.

Yeah... keep it working! Makes no sence to kill it just to display a chip. I'll make you a custom display PCB to swap for that Fluke Wink

This is the IEEE-488 Standard Interface Processor Board - Option -15
Maintenance Manual at Bitsavers. Uninstall it and the Fluke remains working.

Destroyed is destroyed.
You WILL regret sometimes...
So leave it as it is and start collecting old Computers.

Btw THIS is a nice 4040 test system!!!

except that you have to find something to test it with (the Fluke I belive will work with a dead 4040)
