I kinda like the Silicone "Jello" coating. It feels funny to touch... 
This is inside a 1995 'putor. Notice the EPROM marked "FORD"...

my latest is a Toshiba 6126A-2 like the 6126A-1 CPUShack just found
also got a nice eProm ( Intel D8763-1 ) in with the bargin
