VGA Camera

What is the difference between a VGA camera and a Megapixel camera on a cell phone? What are same and diff.? I heard that VGA cameras are like .6 megapixels and I wanted to know the exact truth to this? I saw a cell phone I liked and someone told me not to get it because it has a VGA camera. They said get one with a Megapixel camera. Can someone tell me what is right and the details about this and why they still use VGA cameras? Thanks.

VGA is 640x480 so about 0.3MPixel

For todays cell phone a VGA camera is pretty weak. A phone should have at least a 1.3MPixel (pretty common size)

They still use VGA cameras because they are extremely inexpensive.

Many phones now have 5, 8 or even higher.

Agree with CPUShack.
But please notice that the number of camera's MegaPixels is not the only feature. (real sensor size much more importan. but it's not about cell phone's camera. Most of them are scanty)

300g of honey is better then 5kg of rotten tomatos.

640x480 (0.3 MPix) of sharp/clear/focused/good white balance/no noise image will be better than 2560x1920 (5 MPix) of the noise mess.

To compare cameras you need to compare real images at PC screen.

reenaax is a spammer posting from Indian IP address space. He/she posts questions picked up from Yahoo Answers and other sites. The spammer didn't post any links, which is strange. Maybe we'll see another spammer coming in and posting response from the same site. Let's wait and see.

I figured out what the spammers do. They post a question taken from other site on the net, and in a few days they come back, edit their post and add links to it. I removed a few posts like that earlier today. I'm seriously considering revoking registration or posting privileges for all visitors in 59.93.*.* IP address space.

I found another one. This is how spammer's post looks like after the spammer adds links to it:

The thread was created on May 17, and the spammer added links to it in 5 days. I'll remove that post later this weekend.
