Hello everyone. I have laptop with cpu i7 720qm (4 cores at 1.6/ 2 cores at (i think) 2.2/ 1 core at up to 2. . Anyway i was wondering about a feature of this CPU.
When some application needs for example all of the cores, the four cores can reach 1.73 each if some conditions are right. For example the laptop is not on battery, not too hot and. So it's very cold here and the laptop stays cool so the problem is not in the temperature now. May be there is a time limit?
Anyway i google about the "internal" overclock of the four cores but i was wondering if someone can explain it to me. |

| Actually my question is. Can i hold it longer at 1.73. I taught the main issue was the heat but now here is cold and the laptop stays around 73-4 degrees on full load (which is pretty low for i7 720qm (the Tmax is 100)). |
