I remember interesting thread with the differences between the similar chips, i.e. the same sspec with different markings etc, but I can't find it now and post it here. Found three Cyrix 486 DX40 with identical heatsinks and different backs:

and realized that it's quite difficult to reveal real producer from markings.
I even don't know, is 486DX (or DX2 or DX4) made by Ti or Cyrix itself exists?

yah that article is still in the beta phase

Cyrix was fab-less though, they made NO CPUs themselves
