i made it to #14 before I lost the will to live

instant gratification and reduced attention spans dictate lists of 5 or no longer than 10.

animals in a cage, hmm.. no. why would you want a rodent laying down excrement and urine in a confined space... least of all next to your pc.

I think using old computer parts to play music beats the other applications hands down:

I've tried for some time to create 2 Athlon cufflinks. The problem is to remove the cores perfectly (the die). And to be matching in size.

The last thing is to find the pieces to mount them on. But it's worth it.

Talk about cool uses for old electronics. I'm especially fond of the necklaces/ornaments made from old CD's and RAM sticks.

Old CD's ok.. old electronic boards and stuff up against your skin for hours.. probably not so great. I wouldnt recommend it.

This actually reminds me of the time I saw someone using an old Castle Greyskull toy and utilizing it as a computer case. It really goes to show you that us nerds are the dominantly creative people out there. LOL. Wink

Computers are a good start.. check out things like the Arduino for a whole different level of geekyness.
