it has taken a bit of a back seat, but I need to complete it before the xmas break as I want to properly log the 4000+ chips i have so I know exactly what I have.
This only one part of the database, others are chip families, packages.. etc
Any particular info you are chasing? _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Nothing inparticular I am looking for. Just trying to find some way to keep track of what I have and what I have run thru for future reference. I know, it will come with exoerience.
When you have this in a workng format I would be interested in it.
Have you done anything on the chip families, packages that can be useful?
Would there be a link to this where I might see if it would work for what I have.
Thanks _________________ If you have certain chips you are looking for send me an E-mail with a list and pictures.

it maybe over the top for what you want.
if you want to keep it simple, then using something in Google Docs might be the best way to go. A lot of collectors use them to keep a track of trades & sales or even their collection _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Heck a list I could put in a spread sheet would work for me. But where would a semi complete list be found at? _________________ If you have certain chips you are looking for send me an E-mail with a list and pictures.

you can add one more manufacturer to the list
Data East Corporation (aka DECO) an arcade / pinball manufacturer
I just got my ceramic 6502 from a forum sale
marked
and has a DECO custom part-number on the bottom, which was used different arcade boards they made until 1990. Early boards used them as the main CPU and the later boards used them as the Sound Processor _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

it is so small |
ur quite correct.. its a 6502 variant.. either 6503, 6504.... 6507 (but my first guess is that it will be a 6507)
but need to check the pinout and then test in one of my boards to confirm which
I got side-tracked by the part number (MLD6502) and the DECO custom number just references back to 650x CPU part.
but my post was more to do with the manufacturer than the chip.. I was going to post about the chip that once I had tested it
EDIT >> additional manufacturer of x86s
DMP Electronics INC (DM&P)
