I'm reading a handful of forums every day (with different topics). The forum of cpu-world and Grampa's cpu-museum forum ever have been the only forum's were no flames or so took place. These were friendly forum's. It's my task as a moderator to maintain this state! I will always delete senseless or offensive post's!
The little peace in this forum, with many people being here for years is interrupted by a single person being since 2 month a member here... So draw your own conclusions.
I don't have to justify here! I won't justify myself any longer here. The whole case goes the "ebay way". That's all.
Another thing is using slang doesn't make it more easy to understand what you mean. I estimate 50% of the users here do not speak English as native language. _________________ Frank. |

im sorry if you took it as 'offensive', it was meant as a joke
as for xi11west, he's been here for a few days short of 4 months. i dont see how the length of time that someone has been posting here relates to their trustworthiness though. you might as well go by how many posts someone has, at least thats some indication of activity.
xi11west has purchased a few things from me before, and ive never had any problem with him not receiving them, so for what its worth, i doubt he's trying to con you out of anything.
at any rate, i think you and xi11west need to take your discussion to private messages. it doesnt really concern anyone else. you shipped the item, and i trust you at least have a receipt from the post office showing that, and he didn't receive it. he didnt opt to pay for insurance, and now the item is lost. that's a shame, but now its up to both of you to work out what, if anything, you'll do to come to a satisfactory agreement. maybe insist on insurance from now on. it doesnt make much sense to ship something worth $50+ overseas without purchasing $2 worth of insurance, now does it?
as for my most recent comment, id explain what it means to you but im afraid you might find THAT one offensive. |

Finally Xi86west got what he wanted to get... 2x Warning by Ebay for not paid items. I got my ebay fees back. So everything is fine. Of course, Xi11West had to answer with a lie in feedback. I expected nothing else -- it's ok, because it's not my main-account
So I can only warn to deal with him... _________________ Frank. |

You closed this post when I was sleeping, then open it again. That's interesting.
All you see in this issue is that I owe you money, can't you see more than that? |

A forum user said, that closing would be unfair. He was right. So I opened it again. _________________ Frank. |

So you feel unfair. The fact is I didn't get what I paid and I got 2 eBay strikes, not counting the dark waiting.
You want to be strict on eBay sale otherwise there's punishment. Then I'll be strict on the previous sale, if you can't provide any shipping proof you are stealing money. You better have a consistent standard.
Actually I hesitated to bring this on this forum that's why I kept waiting 3 months long. I had decided to wait another month at the time if you didn't push me on eBay.
I don't want to waste time on this anymore. I asked admin to delete this but if you want discuss more it's no problem for me to keep them as long as you like.
BTW, you are not the proper person to close or delete this thread. |

Hi All,
I think both sides made their case very clear.
Let it rest and start focussing on CPU's again, that's why we are here in this forum!

This topic is exactly the reason why I do not send chips without a tracking number.
eg from Germany I can send a chip as "Wertbrief", insured 100 Euro each Euro postage (unfortunately not to USA) or "Einschreiben" (also to USA), insured 25 Euro and I have a tracking number I can provide to the buyer if nevessary.
The cost is acceptable, depending on weight or thickness the postage is between 3.65 and 5.05 Euro (what I paid so far) and with a flar auction rate of $8 I think everybody knows risk and cost.
So no reason to blame anybody after.
STOP SENDING SIMPLE LETTERS
It's not worth it!
Or the chip you were sending is not worth being sent!
This thread is the proof.
I am wasting my time.
And yours reading this.
Why do I care for it?
forget it |

2 uninsured letters from u.s. to germany got lost in the last 12 months (Intel C8085A & Intel C8008 and also 1 letter from germany to germany.
depending the worth of the chips i always use registered letter and always ask the seller to to the same. _________________ best regards borris
