| Use better software and preferrably a CPU with large L2 cache. By comparison`s sake, nothing else will make the internet go faster, worth spit. |

First of all try adding some more ram, I think 1 gigabyte is a decent minimum. The CPU should be fast enough for surfing, but you may consider upgrading it to a faster model (sempron2200+ is more or less a rebranded athlon1700+, sempron2800+ is an athlon2600+). Your motherboard should support anything up to a Athlon3000+ on socketA(462). _________________ Power without the price. |

If I'm right your motherboard is ECS K7VTA3 v6.0 Remember that when buying new RAM chips - only max 512 MB in one module is supported by those old boards so you can put max 2 x 512 MB DDR. As thomsonicus said 1 GB should be enough and give you satisfy
Not very old VGA card is also needed. To Today's webpages with full of java and flash minimum is GeForce 4 MX i.e. 440, ATI Radeon 7500 or better.
PS Please do not post double - one already went to trash. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
