ohhh yes, the revo really rocks!! unbelivable system booting and nearly
no loading time by normal using. Adobe Photoshop CS5/64 Bit needs 2 seconds for loading *lol*

I like that configuration and first time see something like that Revodrive. Only one thing must be corrected - I would add small cooler on chipsets heatsink if you want to use that mobo for years.

Nice rig but where's the pic?

I'm a little surprised to see an HD 6850 paired with the rest of the hardware you have. 6850's can be a good card for the money but it's mid range and you have it dropped in a top flight system. You should get a second 6850. It scales well in crossfire and given the speed of the rest of your system you are pretty GPU limited when gaming right now.

That Revodrive is pretty sick by the way. On a side note, I miss my Creative x-fi. It died a heat death from siting to close to the back of a pair of 4870 video cards in my last rig. The on board sound just isn't the same.

Here is my current baby:

Intel i7 930 SLBKP 2.8ghz
Zalman CNPS9700 LED
Asus P6X58D-E X58 lga 1366 MB
EVGA GTX 580 1536 meg graphics card reference design
VisionTek Bigfoot Killer Xeno Pro NIC
WD Velociraptor 150gig hdd (OS and program files)
WD RE3 1TB hdd (file storage)
WD RE3 500gig (downloads)
12 gigs (3x2gb) OCZ DDR3 1600mhz memory OCZ3G1600LV6GK
PC power and cooling 750 Watt PS
LG Sata DVDRW
Custom built rack mount server case

hmm, u are right, it is not the best graphic card ever, but i am not really
a gamer.....
hmm, i was not really a gamer, but with my new system it makes a lot of
fun to become crazy while playing some cool games.
i think the last game i played through was prince of persia 1, meanwhile there were a lot of changes in the graphics *lol*
and it really make sense to setup my systems with some crossfire stuff or sli.

Intel i7 is overprized!
PhenomII x4 965 BE 3.4GHz= ~1/2 the price of i7-950 and
PhenomII x6 1090 BE 3.2GHz= ~2/3 the price of i7-950
No doubts the core-chipsets are expensive as well...
Buy Intel-stuff and destroy the little delicate plant that is named AMD
which protects us from even more incredible prices Intel would
dictate without AMD!

I'm AMD fan since Athlon XP family but currently I'm building configuration on Intel 1366 and will tell you final prices which it cost me.

I agree with you in principle but in practice I tend buy the fastest chip for the price I can get. A Phenom x6 is a fast CPU for may things but any i9xx chip far outperforms it for gaming. It's not really even close. Since most games are ported from the console they simply are not written to put out 6 threads. It is a rare game that occupies more than 2 cores. Since each i9xx core is far more capable than a Phenom core. Here is a good article from Tom's hardware that shows what happens when you go with the AMD http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/overclock-cpu-build-a-pc,2700.html

Also, I have had nothing but bad experiences with Ati / AMD graphics and if you want SLI you are pretty well stuck with Intel.

These benchmark results reveal that a slow clocked six-core
has small chances against a high clocked quad on current games which
do only utilize up to four cores!

The i7 has very much potential - but to get these sheer processing power
into your games you will need at least two of the fastest GPUs currently
available. So buy an i7-economy (=one for small money) @ ~$300 and two GPUs for ~$800.

Or buy a Phenom II X4 for ~$200 and a very fast single GPU for ~$400
and be happy that your frames still won`t drop below 30fps in a game
with best graphics you have ever seen Smile

And have a look for fair and comprehensible benchmarks
(not sponsored by intel) like here:
