Hi, I have a Compaq presario 5000 with a HP-Compaq 06E4h mother board Bios version 786K1. It currently has a 750 MHZ Duron processor FSB200, I want to upgrade to a 1400 AMD Athlon processor (this is as high as I can go). I think an A1400AMS3B is what I need, is there some way to confirm this? Additionally can I just reuse my existing Heatsink and fan or do they need to be upgraded too?
Thanx

The 1400 Athlon did not boot this MB. In MB setup it said CPU multiplier was 0 x 100 mhz. This CPU is to fast to recognise running with 133 SDram/100 SDram mix. I reverted back to a 900 Duron and it works great.
