Today I got nice cpu :



I need information about this cpu. Why he is marked as IBM ? If somebody know full history so I please to write it - I'm very curious Smile

as far as i know about it it looks like a fake intel cpu, no intel cpu has gold number printed on the ceramic... but why would they fake the brand??? your guess is as good as mine Wink

It's an Intel 486 fabbed under license by IBM.

I think they aren't very rare

what i dont understand, is why has it got the intel logo if ibm manufactured it????

Exactly Smile at this time IBM produced Blue Lightning processors and why they produced for "rival" ? Intel has not enough factories ?

IBM was an Intel second source, they made DX33, DX2-50 and DX2-66 for Intel.
