If your CPU isn't BGA (soldered to mainboard) then you can propably upgrade to Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 3,06 GHz or Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor X9100 3,06 GHz too. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Well are these cpus alot better then my current one? and yeah mine CAN be upgraded. I checked. Its just i didnt know which cpus are compatabile to my sockets and are better. So in your opinion is the cpu you recommended me is alot better or is it just a minor upgrade to my current? |

They will be a bit better in my taste. Price definitely not worth for that performance increase. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

No. You have very good CPU and think about additional RAM or change whole notebook for Core i7. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

So is it my ram thats slowing down my games or is it the cpu. I was thinking of changing the ram but i assumed it was the cpu. so which one should i change. I have also checked my ram and its easily accessible. |

I have 4gb of ram idk how to check which type of ram it is but i dont think its anything special. and uh black ops, mw2, deadspace 2, fear 3, l4d2, starcraft 2, etc. you name it. i have alot of games. But like maybe 2/8 of em i woulda so often lag. Depends in which location or if there is alot of "something" so i need a boost to keep my games running with no lag.
My vga is resolution right? well its a 1400x900 |

No resolution but VGA card model. CPU upgrade have nothing to those latest games. 4GB are enought too. I'm sure you have poor VGA card. If you want to play with latest games buy desktop PC. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Please edit your posts. VGA card means Visual Graphic Array card in other meaning graphic card Use Lavalys Everest or GPU-Z (search those tools in google) to read your VGA model. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

My graphics card is a Nvidia Geforce GTX 260M i dont really this its my graphics card. But i checked during games that my cpu goes about 60- 90% usage depending on the game... thats why i think my cpu is bad but idk... |
