Just received a QP15ES RB80526PZ800256 at Avicc and it was noticied that some pins had been removed/ or not attached in the first place.
these pins are both used to control the FSB of board/processor
BSEL0 (pin # AJ33)
BSEL1 (pin # AJ31)
has anyone had experience with P3 with missing pins or have any other examples? _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

In my opinion, the pins on the early socket 370 were rather brittle, so that physical durability is poorer than later socket 370s.
Some of them lose both the pin and the pad to which it is bonded, like this one: |

Neon_WAs look cleanly and purposefully removed (or never installed)
and the fact that they are the BSEL pins is probably not coincidence. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

So what would happen if you install a CPU with these pins removed?
No auto bus frequency detect or something? |

| Both BSEL0 and BSEL1 removed, the bus defaults to 133MHz. |
