Bought this one on ebay. Itīs a Duron 1300 DHD1300AMT1B AGOIA-Stepping. Normally this should be an Athlon XP 1500+.

Shocked
WOW ! I was sure that Palomino was only Athlon XP. Core is in perfect condition. I wonder what CPU-Z will show.

Great chip.

+1

Probably out of stock and covered it that way.
Anyway it's interesting to see stuff like that hit the surface...

That's very unusual for desktop Duron. I presume that the CPU has part of L2 cache disabled. It'd be interesting to look at its CPUID data.

Well there are mobile Athlon4 and mobile Duron that use the Palomino core. For example,
AHM1000AVS3B
DHM1300ALQ1B

27100 package was used (only?) for mobile processors. Odd then that this is labeled as a desktop processor.

EDIT: actually, 27100 was also used by some Athlon SFF and Athlon MP

I always thought the number on the package (here 27100) refers to the used core.

26822 Spitfire
27067 Morgan
27016 Thunderbird
27100 Palomino

Btw. K6-2+ and K6-III+ come both with the same markings 26727.
Would be interesting to know if AMD only used one mask and only disabled L2-Cache. Some defect chips to strip off?

Interesting
do you know where I can find a full list of other mobile Athlon4 and Duron mobile with Palomino core?
or can you explain the way to identify them?
thanks!

Jedi,
Many of the cores used more than one package number, for example most Thunderbird cores used ceramic package 26822 or 27016, but there were a few with organic package 26876 also.
Similar cores could also use the same package number. For example, Spitfire and Thunderbird cores both used package 27016.

isa-d,
I do not know if there is a full list, but an easy way is to use the CPU-World CPU Chart:
http://www.cpu-world.com/cgi-bin/CPU_Chart.pl
Select 'core name' = palomino
I see 35 results.

Also Palomino core has CPUID 660, 661, or 662 (662 by far the most common)

History - originally, AMD used code name Corvette for the mobile Athlon4, and Camaro for mobile Duron. I am unsure if the names were for products, or cores. Those code names could not be used in final products because they are trademarked by General Motors.

The packages marked 26822 look like they were produced with some larger cores (bigger L2-caches?) in mind, as there are some contacts free even if paired with a Thunderbird die.

Please check if you own Athlons (Thunderbird) with speeds higher than 1Ghz with 26822 markings.
