Pulled a cpu out an old machine with a paper sticker on the bottom which says P-PNY233-3D. It has a fan glued on top which also has a PNY sticker. On the edge is stamped MCK UR HI-TEMP1. Is this thing apt to be worth anything?

Would you like to provide pictures ? I think it is TurboChip based on Winchip CPU too. I might be interested in that chip.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'll try to get pictures up soon as I can. I also have 100+ other old cpu's some of which may interest some of you guys. I've only been saving them for gold scrapping.

Yea, please show us your offerings before you send them for scrap.
Most likely you will fetch more here anyway... Smile

Guys, here are some of what I have. Note that these were not saved with the care normal for collectibles, at this point I have no idea what works and what doesn't, though most were pulled from working machines.

I'm wondering how you guys handle the selling part, so nobody comes up shorted; I'd rather not deal through ebay.

Tetrium, the voltage on it is 2.9. There's a lot of discolored spots on it: you might want to wait until I can post pictures. I certainly don't want to sell you anything not fit for your purpose.

I'll list some more of what I have soon as I get time.

and about pins at
http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd513/Stix5/?action=view&current=DSCF0075.jpg
are they just corroded or also have missed pins?
(In other words, can i have a chance to test it after pin straightening? )

Frag, I'll put the k6's up for you soon as I can. The Cyrix don't have missing pins, just dirty. As far as testing, it's occurred to me there may be a huge problem with shipping these things to other countries. I once talked to a guy about shipping some parts to another country and we found out there was a huge amount of red tape and expense involved. I'd be happy to hear from anyone who has knowledge bearing on this.

I did find I'd made an error listing the amd 475 as afr; they're afx.
