apart from my CPU collection I also collect non CPU from different manufacturers & other packages
I purchase 2 additional of these DMA protos to reduce the cost per chip and they are presently at Avicc
Manufactured by Chip Express (CHIP-X) a fabless designer of custom ASICs based in Santa Clara, California
Chip Express was acquired by GigOptix Inc in Nov 2009
These particular chips were developed for Aeroflex Microelectronic Solutions in 2003.
The actual chips are marked AEROXFLEX, but seemly this was their trade mark in adding Xs to markings like Zorro did with Z
