many older notebooks can run desktop processors but drain the battery quickly and run hot
on a newer notebook the power consumption of the desktop processor is too high. Even if the notebook started it would likely overheat.

I don't know where you read those informations (from first post) but propably you can only use Pentium 4-M on FSB 400. It is easy to get but not cheap 2,4 GHz or 2,5 GHz version. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
