From the post on the last page, you can still buy a set if you click on the paypal payment icon as they won't be shipped until 20/6

Email has been sent to all purchasers.

Unfortunately, it is inappropriate/not possible for me to post a complete list of purchasers. PayPal provides me with email address information for purchasers, not CPU World IDs. There are only a couple of ways for me to have a verified CPU World ID for any purchaser. The purchaser would need to have either included their CPU World ID in the note section of the PayPal transaction, or sent me a PM with their email address, PayPal transaction ID, or other way to correlate PayPal transaction to CPU World ID. There are some CPU World ID's at which I could guess based on various factors (e.g. time of purchase close to posting in this thread that they purchased). However, guessing is inappropriate as getting it wrong would potentially get the chips to the wrong person.

Given that none of the people who I checked had their email address as part of their profile, it is inappropriate for me to out their email address in a posting. [Checking email addresses via CPU World profile was another method I tired to use to match IDs up to email addresses.]

The email sent to each purchaser includes a request to provide their CPU World ID if I do not have it. In addition, the email states all shipping information which I have available and asks for correction of any inaccuracies.

If you have purchased and do not receive an email from me today then please contact me either via email at the address provided with your PayPal confirmation, or PM me. Please allow a bit of time for the email to be received. However, all emails were sent prior to this posting.

I have a question for you, CPUShack:
In order to identify a person on the sub-package sent to CPU Shack do you need the purchaser's CPU World ID?

I can, and will, provide their name, address, and email address all as provided by PayPal. Unfortunately, for more than half of those going to CPU Shack/AVICC I do not have a verified CPU World ID.

Not a problem, I can math them when they arrive.

Can you not get the CPU World ID's from your sale thread?
How else are you keeping up with who ordered and who paid?

Most buyers send a PM saying payment sent and you shortly
thereafter have a Paypal payment show up. Cool

I can guess at matching a purchase transaction to a posting/PM time. Some purchases came in within 10 minutes of each other. That is insufficient separation to make a reasonable guess as to which is which. For purchases where I know the CPU World ID there is a demonstrated potential separation of more than 1 hour between the PayPal transaction and a post or PM.

NOTE: The sale transactions for everyone who has sent PM is definitively known.

Which action is most appropriate:
A) Guessing at a CPU World ID and possibly getting it wrong. A wrong guess could result in 1) the chips going to the wrong person and/or 2) a purchaser who believes I have an order for them getting a false sense of security by seeing their ID confirmed in a posting when I don't actually have an order for them (e.g. they did not click on the final "confirm" button in the PayPal transaction).
B) Go with the information which has been confirmed in the transaction. Ask CPU Shack if each buyer's CPU World ID is needed and ask the buyer, via the confirmed email address, to provide the information I do not have.

I believe that (B) is the more responsible course of action, which is why I pursued it. I am, of course, open to other options.

The use of the PayPal button makes it 100% certain as to which email address purchased a set. It makes it clear as to what they purchased, where they want it shipped, and how they desire it to be shipped. It provides clear tracing of purchase and shipping. This is a significant improvement over having the shipping information transmitted via a post or PM separate from the money transfer. It eliminates the potential error and confusion of having that information sent separately and increases security for both the buyer and seller. Security is also increased for both buyer and seller by having it be clear, in the monetary transaction, what is being purchased.

For me to guess at CPU World IDs would introduce uncertainty where there is none when there is no need to introduce that uncertainty. If CPU Shack needed the CPU World ID then I would have either delayed shipment of those sets for which I do not have the information, or shipped them with my best guess if I did not receive a response to my request for more information. But, CPUShack has stated that the CPU World ID is not needed. Thus, orders will ship with all identifying information I have (PayPal provided name, email address, and physical address), but without CPU World ID, if a buyer has not provided that information prior to shipment. In other words, having the person's CPU World ID is helpful, but not required, to complete the transaction.

After more thorough testing I determined that the packaging method I was using is inadequate to protect the chips in shipment (the chips moved around too much). Initially this method of packaging had appeared to be acceptable. I have determined a method that will do well. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to completely repackage the chips prior to the last deadline for shipment today. Thus, they will be shipped out tomorrow.

I apologize for the delay.

No problem at all - better for them to be protected than rushed out

I've just posted a thread, about KSR2 chips: Kendall Square Research 2 (KSR2) Supercomputer CPU chips. As a result, this thread may get a bit more attention and someone might want to purchase a set of these.

The vast majority of these chips were sold on eBay in bulk many years ago for scrap gold value. After that, I sold sets of 6 for a few/several years on my eBay store for about a hundred dollars.

At this point, I have only a few of these KSR1 chips left which are in good cosmetic condition. I've instructed PayPal that I have 4 sets left. As such, I don't have the stock of chips to support selling them at the $42 price which was posted in 2011. Thus, I've increased the price of a set of 6 of these KSR1 chips to $65. If anyone is interested, the PayPal button I posted earlier in this thread will still work, but at the new price.

For your convenience, I'm including the button again here ($65):
