This chip was taken ages ago from a Soviet computer "Korvet". Well, that's what I was told.
Who's the manufacturer?

On the back side is a kind of an "S" symbol; 5K and 225 strings.

Can't be from "Korvet". This computer uses 8080A. It was taken probably from "Agat" - an Apple ][ clone. From:

Mac Buster told me a slightly different story about the Agat: Some days ago I have been reading an article in a book about soviet personal computers and found that Agat wasn't actually made as an Apple ][ clone. Engineers made it just similar to it. Soviet Union never produced 6502 clone and so developers had to buy these CPUs from India and Mexico (this can be resolved from writings on the CPU).

Right, it must be from an "Agat".

Any guesses about that Indian manufacturer? Very Happy

Thanks Gennadiy, that's it. Their logo matches the S on the chip.
This 6502 seems to be rare.... probably they were manufactured only for Soviet Union. icon_peace
