|
|
I may have the option to buy a QT69ES. I am aware of a recent ebay auction for one of these CPUs which ended at ~$26 USD. Had I known of the auction I would have bid without hesitation, however I missed it. I have been looking for a QT69ES for some time now.
Given the rarity of these CPUs; what do you feel is a fair price for a good condition QT69ES?
The seller I am dealing with is asking $125. Opinions on that price? If anyone wants to sell one for a better price I'm accepting offers!
Thanks |

true market value.. $40 - 50 at most
I got the last one sold in the forum and they struggled to sell for $30 back then.. think under 2 years ago _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

| $40-50 sounds much better than $125. How often do these pop up though? |

I may have to pass on this $125 one unless I can haggle the seller down. I'd really like to get one of these chips, but if they are popping up from time to time for those kinds of prices it may be worth the wait.
Thanks for the info! |

biggest issue is most ebay sellers really don't know what they are and may list them as a Xeon MP _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Some years ago that chip wasn't very hard to buy. I would give max 20 EUR for it but that is only my opinion. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

guess this was the seller

even thou it was purchased at BIN price.. I would still put a maximum value of $40 - 50 on this particular chip.
The 423 mechanical sample I just got.. cost me $25.. so cheap buys are still to be had _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Yep, that was the seller. I found it listed on their website. I did not know there was an ebay auction for it. It's funny that it went for $130 w/shipping on eBay when the last QT69ES on ebay sold for $26. I even linked them to that auction saying their price was pretty high and I'd be willing to make a fair offer. Oh well. I'll find one eventually.
Btw, is your P4 S423 mech sample QC82? Won on ebay on May 26? If so I was watching that auction. Missed the end of it. I was really surprised to see it sell so cheap. If not then the auction I was watching ended at $10.00 + $10.95 shipping. |
