Hello,
it's a IBM 486SLC2. Here is the web page: http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/chipshots/ibm/486slc2medium.html. It's a great photographic work indeed, it requires a expensive pro-level microscope and a specific lighting system (see the site). The multi-color lighting shows well the upper metallization level and the interconnections. Many other IBM chips have interconnection points distributed on the whole die (since they are fabricated with the flip-chip technique).
