I am wondering if some of the members can give me an opinion on a e-bay transaction. I recently listed some IC's on e-bay now relisted.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290598050350&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT[url]
After the purchase, the buyer just informed me that I must make sure that the legs are free of solder and that the chips are in good condition as otherwise they lose value. Where did I go wrong? I nver implied that these were collectible. |

You did nothing wrong.. idiot buyer
looking at the previous auction.. the winner was sort of a newbie gold recovery guy.
They often overbid.. thinking the next highest bidder wont be so high
When they see the final price.. they decide it is too much and decide not to pay
just look at his bid rectractions
Bid retractions: 8
Bid retractions (6 months): 19
personally once he put his first bid.. i would of cancelled it and blocked him from further bidding
on this current auction.. I would note item is relisted due to non paying bidder.
so when they look back at completed sales.. they dont just think you are using same pic for a different auction _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

on current auction.. I would keep a watch on current bidder
when others start bidding and he starts retracting bids.. i would block him
other buyers are less inclined to put their maximum bid in when someone else bids over them and then retracts _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

idiot buyer, block them from further bidding, your auction was VERY clear as to what you were selling and the condition
Can also report them to ebay as a non-paying bidder _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
