My collection! Sorry about the list, I just copied it from my excel spreadsheet. Sorry no pics yet. With the AMD CPU's, just trying to get all the different cores/cache of the core type and then I'll work on the Intel's. It is amazing though how much people want for some of the older chips, it's just stupid!

K, took a couple pics of my collection so far. I don't have the Slot CPU's in the pics. Let me know what you think. I've also got close to 100 Intel/AMD stickers as well!

Thanks. And I still have a few stickers to get, then I have to figure out where to put them.
Right now I think I have spent over $500 on buying the AMD's to get my collection to where it is. The sticky notes that don't have anything on them, I am waiting to come in the mail.
This also seems to be a very expensive hobby, but I am selling my RC's to fund this one, which I think is a bit cooler! |

| What is the best way to clean them without destroying them? Some of them I can wipe clean with a tissue, but some of the others won't be so easy |

I use denatured alcohol and it seems to work well.
For really sticky stuff I use an citrus based cleaner
like Orange All.
As in everything, do a test clean on a broken chip
or one you're not in love with to be sure the solvent
won't mess up the printing on the chip. |

Welcome to another John...
Best way to clean white thermal grease off chips is to use rag with a solvent like Naptha (paint thinner) or rubbing alcohol.
I remove rubbery and harder clay-like heatsink adhesive with a single edge razor blade, then clean the residue with the paint thinner...makes then gleam like new!
The hardest to remove is indestructible Epoxy, which sadly is usually used to attach heatsinks on the nice Gold-top chips. Soak the surface face down in a shallow pool of Rubbing Alcohol overnight. The epoxy softens enough that it can be carefully scrapped away.
Use care not to scratch the print if possible. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

Ooh...I just discovered that pages with rows of clear pockets, used by stamp collectors, are perfect for storing and displaying your Stickers. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

I bought mine from a coin/stamp collecting shop. They had sheets with various pocket sizes. Some sheets are made to hold banknotes and I use these to hold larger stickers like those large Intel Pentium stickers. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A
