K63 has a faster bus speed (100 vs 95) and more Cache, so I would assume it would be faster.

K6-2+ is highly overclockable. I have a K6-3+ that does 560MHz at 2.1v (112x5). It won't do 600MHz reliably no matter what voltage though. It's either the board, or the CPU, but I've had two K6-3+ chips and both had problems with 600MHz in the same way so I think my VA-503+ may be the problem.

K6-2+ is more overclockable from what I've read, with people getting over 600MHz occasionally. And it will run a good bit cooler than that original K6-3. If you can fit a decent heatsink on the board, something for a Socket A chip, you will definitely be able to go passive cooling with it too. Most Socket 7 boards have annoying capacitors right next to the CPU though.
