paypal is also making changes to their fee structure
each change coming into effect on different dates in September & October
most noticeable different are the fees on personal payments to some European countries & fees on cross border mass payments
you certainly don't want to use a credit card for a payment to Brazil
Brazil 7.4% + Fixed Fee _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

I don't think it's all that bad- People were circumventing Ebay fees and charging rediculous amounts for shipping... It's about time Ebay did something about this.
And you didn't sell the item for .99, you sold it for .99 plus 10.00 shipping |

- Nothing personal, but you really think so>? Ebay has nothing to do with shipping and 10$ shipping is real shipping price. I understand when some card is sold for 1$ and shipping is 50$ - it makes me wonder. There so many ways to track shipping overcharge electronically and they dont employ it. Anyways its red light for me on Ebay. It has lost its initial idea...SAD.

Yeah, I cna't say I agree with it in full, nor Ebay charging more for the same stuff... Just a way for them to make more money...
But on the other hand, I'm sick of paying a few dollars or more for a .50c part which comes in a bubble mailer with a $1 stamp on it. |

Another bullkrap from DUMBAY, this is getting worse with every day.
I had somebody purchasing pcmcia card from me for .99cents plus 5$ shipping, so total transaction amount is 5.99$ when shipped i did not do tracking on it or insurance (i suppose i will have to do that from now on)
it has been a week since item was shipped and buyer opened a dispute that item is not received, without even contacting me... but thats just a piece of problem;
Since case was opened i had to respond to it, which i did and I also sent a copy of a receipt that clearly shows address of addressee or destination point - zero reaction from buyer, instead DUMBPAL _R_E_F_U_N_D_S_ money to buyer !_BEFORE_! THE CASE IS CLOSED or resolved !
N_O_W WHAT DA FCUK IS THAT ?!
thi is pisses me really bad. will call them tomorrow.
p.s. i dont really care about those 6$ its just how things are handled is what pisses me really off
watch out for: "pmccrite" ebay member ! addded to my blocked black list _________________ its here. |

Sorry to hear that but this becomes a standard on a eBay. To unkown buyers do not send items as not trackable even shipping cost is 15 USD or more. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

today i got reply from buyer:
| Quote: | Hi I just wanted to let you know that I did not open a case against you. It was Pay pal they did it. They had overcharged my account on 3 separate items and when I questioned them about it, they opened the cases and lead all of the sellers to believe that it was me that had done it and it was not. It was there mistake and I just wanted them to put the money back into my account that they over charged me. I cant believe how they went about correcting this. I am very upset with them, and I hope you will not find fault with me.
|
- so it is PAYPAL who messed all up.
i have double checked i had only one original payment from seller which got reversed, so i left unpaid for that item.
so i dont know where truth lies now. _________________ its here. |

Profiteering on shipping on Ebay is as old as Ebay. However, sometimes the item is heavy and you reallly have to charge $10 shipping. I tried selling a box of computer fans on Ebay, put a $20 shipping charge on since they'd cost me at least that to ship, and my auction got canceled and I got a nasty note. Fine! No more selling of computer fans on Ebay for me. I now sell them at the odd swap meet I go to, and get more for them anyway.
I finally canceled my account on Ebay in anger and disgust and have sworn off of them forever. |
