Hi,
I´ve got a HP NC6220 with a Pentium m740, socket 479, 1.73 GHz and would like to know, if an upgrade with core duo / dual core cpus is possible (and which one would fit).
Does anybody know ?

No, socket 479 is not compatible with dual-core processors. The only faster processors, that may work in your laptop, are faster clocked Pentium Ms,

Pentium M 780 2,26 GHz is what you can upgrade to.
