How much RAM can i add in my PC?

Sir, I have eSys Desktop Computer System Model No. : K8M800/939
and
having same Motherboard model no.
{Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 3800+}
{Memory: 512 MBytes (256MB + 256 MB)
Type: DDR
Channels: Dual}

I want to upgrade my RAM, but i don't know that how much RAM my System can support..
how much RAM to can i upgrade maximum with same PROCESSOR and MOTHERBOARD.
or should i have to upgrade my Motherboard and processor too...

as far as I can tell the eSys K8M800 is a rebranded PC-Chips A21G

and that can take 2 x 1Gb DDR (total 2Gb)
if you can get them cheap.. worth trying before replacing whole setup
