Neon_WA,

Were you one of the recepiants of the bulk eBay Cyrix 5x86-133 shipments? Have you tested your Cyrix 5x86-133? If so, could you let me know the revision number of your cpu when you have a chance? i.e. mine is Stepping 0, Revision 5 (it was not part of the mass eBay auction). You can use any of the register bit enabler programs to view the revision, or chkcpu, PC-Config, etc.

I've posted testing results of my Cyrix 5x86-133 and many others in a pdf found in this thread,

yes I was.
I only get items shipped about every 3 months to me in Oz, so it maybe another month before I see and get the chance to test.

I had a look at the list and there maybe other members who have the capabilities to test that may have their chip sooner, but if not I will post results when i get mine

I personally use chkcpu for CPUid work on Cyrix/IBM/ST chips

That would be fantastic! Thanks.

Unfortunately, none of the other members who won the eBay lot replied to the other topic header, so I wouldn't know who to contact.

@Neon_WA

Did you receive your Cyrix 5x86-133 yet? I am curious what the stepping/revision is. You can find it from CHKCPU16 in HEX format.

Windmiller, have you tested your Cyrix 5x86-133 at 4X/133 Mhz to confirm that it works?

I haven't tested it, don't have a machine to be able to.

@Neon

Receive it yet? I'm still curious what Stepping/Revision yours is. Mine has been running strong at 3.7V for several months. Its in a machine on 24/7.

It should work on just about any socket 3 motherboard. Just be sure to set the voltage to 3.45 or 3.60 V on your motherboard and use a fan/heatsink. I'd hate for you to fry it at 5 V. It will also run at 4 V, but I wouldn't run it for more than 10 min. to be safe. You can run it on the 3X multiplier (100 MHz) to increase your safety margin.

As far as I can tell, nobody from the mass eBay 5x86-133 sale 1 year ago has tested their precious CPUs.
